The boyfriend, also 18, then threatened to stalk and stab her if she reported the assault to the police. Fearing for her life, the teenager lodged a report and police are now looking for the boyfriend.
In her report, the teenager also alleged that this was not the first time her boyfriend had assaulted her.
She said she had told her boyfriend she had wanted to break up with him in a house in Kulaijaya about noon on Sunday. She claimed he then reacted violently, grabbed a stick and began beating her with it.
The boyfriend then splashed used motorcycle oil on her and smeared it all over, before kicking and slapping her when she tried to flee. He then threatened to stalk her and stab her if she told anyone about what happened. Initial police investigations revealed that the suspect was known to have a bad temper and a violent streak.
Kulaijaya police chief Superintendent Zulkefly Yahya said police were investigating the case for criminal intimidation. "We have initiated investigations into the case and are currently on the lookout for the teenage suspect," he said. Zulkefly urged those with information on the teenager's whereabouts to contact the Kulaijaya police headquarters at 07-6632222, or the nearest police station.
